The missions of the Park
What is a regional natural Park?

A regional natural Park is a fragile rural area (threatened either with devitalisation, excessive urban pressure or excessive tourism), with a remarkable heritage, organised around a project designed to ensure its permanent protection with respect to its management, and its economic and social development.
A regional natural Park aims to protect and stimulate the natural, cultural and human heritage of the area within its limits, in order to build up its future. Its missions are to protect its heritage, to implement economic and social development, to welcome and inform the public and to carry out experiments.

The Park House

At the centre of the village, crossed by the Aubette, Théméricourt Castle, both a fort and a manor-house corresponds to the rural manor model of the 15th century, typical of the region. Today, it has become the Park House, the registered office of the Regional Natural Park of French Vexin.
Touristic information are available in the French Vexin museum located in the stables of Théméricourt Castle.
